iOS 5.1 Beta 2 Brings iCloud Update

Apple is working hard to fix a few urgent issues in iOS 5 update, notably the poor battery life on the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S. Apples released an update to iOS  (version 5.0.1) recently, however that failed to help the battery concerns for many. It is believed that Apple would fix the issue in iOS 5.1 and while the beta 1 out sometime back didn’t seem to help, the beta 2 is now out.
iOS Beta
The only notable change in iOS 5.1 Beta 2 is the iCloud feature update. With iOS 5, Apple released iCloud that works across iOS devices unlike Siri that was limited to the 4S. One of iCloud’s features is Photo Stream that auto uploads the last 1000 photos from your iOS device (iPhone, iPod touch or iPad) and stores them on your iCloud account. These photos are then automatically downloaded on all your iOS devices and also iPhoto on your Mac. However there was one glitch, once a photo is uploaded to photostream, you can not delete is manually.

It seems that Apple has heard the feedback early and the feature is being introduced with iOS 5.1. iCloud is Apple’s move towards Google’s domain … a step in to the world of Internet services. Apple’s Mobile Me bombed and old time Mac users aren’t happy with the transition to iCloud. Ironing out small issues one by one should be good progress for Apple, but it just shows that their learning on the cloud / internet side is slow.

Have you tried iOS 5.1? Any battery improvements? Siri?
